models & tools

Connell models & tools are built to provide insight and perspectives using historical data. We have found that many ingredient buyers don't understand certain relationships, may not have the time to study relationships important to managing spend or discount possible price movements with no basis or facts. These tools fill that gap for world class buyers who are motivated to superior performance.

Access to each model is by subscription on a annual per user basis. If you would like a personal demonstration of any tool please contact Bob Lindon at 630-210-7416 .

Soon to be released models and tools:

Confidence Interval - a tool that takes historical price movements and translates it into potential future price movement. Many people discount the potential for the market to move adversely and therefore don't fully understand the risks or the potential gains inherent in any strategy. Becoming familiar and using these perspectives and insight may be critical to protect company interests, benchmarking buyer performance or offering challenges to current state for due diligence. Although this tool is useful to everyone, those who manage risk using options will find addition benefits.

Historical Price Distributions - Analyze prices over the past 30 days or 30 years. Where has the market determined prices trade over certain periods of time.

Back Testing of Purchasing Strategies- Connell has created two tools to test how your strategy has preformed versus the market. We can test strategies along to lines. The first is if it defined seasonally. If your strategy is along the lines of buying all or a portion of your requirements at specific times during the year our tool will analyze the strategies performance. Second if you always have a certain amount of months covered or add coverage to maintain a specific amount of forward coverage we can analyze this and show you the results. Understand how these types of strategies have preformed in the past to help you understand opportunities and pitfalls from the past.
